Friends of Tully Lake is a group of concerned North Quabbin residents
who came together in 2003 in response to a proposal for a huge and damaging subdivision overlooking Tully Lake in Athol, Massachusetts. We have reached and energized thousands of concerned people who care about the future of Tully Lake and the North Quabbin region. Sprawl is a universal issue that affects everyone's community.
The aims of Friends of Tully Lake are to:
1) ensure that development around Tully Lake is sited and sized appropriately so as to minimize all environmental damage;
2) demonstrate that towns have legal rights and responsibilities to disapprove inappropriate development;
3) inform and empower local people to participate in land-use planning.
Friends of Tully Lake celebrates the efforts of all who have come out, and the conscientious decisions of the Athol Town Boards. But we urgently need your help to pay our excellent attorney and engineers. The fight is not over.
Urge your friends and neighbors to get involved and to donate!

who have awarded Friends of Tully Lake $2000
to expand our outreach and education about Tully Lake.

Donations are needed!

Thanks to your concern and generosity, Friends of
Tully Lake has already raised a substantial amount of money that will enable us to pursue a resolution to this issue.  The attorney and engineers needed to evaluate the current plan and to devise alternatives are expensive, however.
Please send a donation; it is tax-deductible.
